DJ MIX CLUB ‘SPECIALIST DJ STORE’ for Professional DJ Gear, Sound, Lighting, Effects, Studio Equipment, Staging … plus training facilities for DJ and Music Production courses.
Established back in 1998, DJ Mix Club was the first DJ School set up in South Africa, operating out the back of a small record store in Blairgowrie, Randburg, where the art of mixing was taught on vinyl. Soon the DJ Mix Club took over the entire business, importing weekly 12” record shipments from overseas, and also introducing the hottest DJ equipment out at the time, in particular the formidable range of Technics DJ gear.
Over the years, the DJ Mix Club has trained thousands of students. Music Production was introduced as the next logical step for an already experienced DJ. And on the retail side, the range of DJ gear being sold in store, continued to grow.
The founders of the DJ Mix Club have had their roots in the DJ industry from way back to 1985 when over a period of time they were involved in crowning multiple national DJ champions in the annual SA 'Battle of the DJ’s' competition. The likes of Ready D, DJ Dizzy (Dean) and Nelson (Afroboogie) and have also given rise to a host of other successful DJs including DJ Costa. With the continuous digital transition taking place since then, the DJ Mix Club has adapted and still remains the No.1 Pro DJ Store of choice for many aspiring DJ's countrywide.
We are the longest surviving Pro DJ Store in South Africa and we can attribute that success to our passionate staff, numerous involvements in the electronic music scene and our multi-pillared business model encompassing training, online business and a physical retail store. Some of our biggest customers have been with us from the start.
Our original mission statement has focused on personal relationships, concise product knowledge and excellent service. Not just selling a box, but providing specialised in-store staff to advise correctly and assist through the set-up process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Our pricing at DJ Mix Club is the most competitive in the industry, beating any legitimate written quote. Whilst we sell a comprehensive range of products that are listed on our website, as well as selected items on our shop floor, we will go out of our way to find a product for you if we don’t have it.
